SEX: WHY WAIT?

If you’re anything like me, you’re reading this because you probably gave your goods up to someone too soon. Now you are in your feelings, beating yourself up, and saying to yourself,

“d**n it! If I had just waited!”

Yes! I’ve sung that song more times than I like to share!

To some sex is just that, S E X, a physical activity lasting about 10-15 minutes tops, and has no meaning whatsoever! People just out here “Doing it”!

As much as sex is downplayed to simple physical activity, it is indeed much, much more. Whether we want to admit it or not sex is very spiritual and emotional. Energies and spirits transferring from one person to another is way more serious than we like to acknowledge.

You see, I was raised in the church! Yes, Lord! (Praise dance) I am a Christian a God fearing woman! I’m no saint, however... I’ve been taught the reasons why we should wait until marriage before we have sex. The obvious reason is that it’s the Christian thing to do! We want to avoid those soul ties with people we shouldn’t become “one” with!

Let’s keep it all the way real! Most people in the world today aren’t waiting for marriage to share that special part of themselves. I hear it all the time

“What if it’s bad?” What if it’s small what if it stinks (yuck) “Would you buy a car if you didn’t test drive it”?

I’m here to tell you why you should wait to be sexually intimate with anyone.

Cloudy Judgement - Great sex will have us thinking we really like a person. The thoughts of maybe we could really see a future with them invade our minds. Now we're fantasizing about the future. We have planned the wedding, named our kids and the dog! Now we have convinced ourselves that we're in love, but really we just confused! This my friends is what I call condicktion ( confusion +D**k) and conpusstion (confusion + P*… you know the word)! Bad sex, on the other hand, can have you missing out on someone very special due to their performance, or just a waste of a number on your body count! I’m just saying!!!

Softens the Blow - When we meet people we are introduced to their representative way before we get to the real person. It can be absolutely devastating falling in like or love with a person, giving them the most special part of you, only to find out they are fraud! Not having that intimate connection can make it easier to walk away. Leave peacefully knowing you still have your dignity and your goodies!

Helps build a better foundation for a loving relationship - A lot of times people end up in toxic relationships because they feel the need to stick around because sexual intimacy has already taken place. Couples who wait for sex usually last a lot longer and actually have a loving non-toxic relationship. Waiting forces you to find other ways to connect and be intimate without focusing on the physical pleasure of doing the Do! This way you can truly see if you are even compatible.

Diseases - this is simple! No one wants an STD

Regret - Have you ever had sex with someone and then realize you just don’t like their a**! You literally can’t stand to look at them or be around them? Everything they do just irritates the s**t out of you! Now you’re looking at them With the stank face asking yourself, "Why the hell did I do that? What was I thinking?" You're trying your best to forget about the whole d**n thing! Yeah, me neither!

I’m sure there are a few more reasons on why we should wait for sex. God created it cause it is an amazing thing, one we should only share with our husband/ wife! If you’re not a spiritual person, waiting is still beneficial to protect your feelings, emotions and mental health.
